Our organization is looking for a FileMaker Pro developer to join a four-person in-house development team. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years experience building and maintaining business applications using the FileMaker Pro platform. The internally-designed FileMaker database system covers most operations within the organization.
In this fast-paced and rapidly changing environment, candidates should be able to work under pressure, handle many projects at once while staying organized, and communicate clearly to users with limited technical know-how.

Requirements:
- At least four years developing with FileMaker Pro, version 11 or later
- Command of the Mac OS X environment (organization is exclusively Mac OS X)
- Ability to think creatively in order to solve problems
- Organized, thorough, flexible, and able to manage multiple projects at one time
- Dedication to good documentation and development best practices
- Ability to balance elegance and fast completion time, depending on situation
- Ability to complete work assignments while under pressure
- Experience communicating with end users who have limited knowledge of software development and other computer-related technologies
- Willingness to perform tasks outside of job description, if called on to do so
Other Useful Skills:
- Experience with FileMaker Server administration
- Web development in PHP using CodeIgniter and ExpressionEngine
- Understanding of and enthusiasm for labor unions
- Experience with graphic design, video editing or photography
- Some knowledge of AppleScript and other scripting languages
- Hardware troubleshooting abilities
